Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

1. Introduction

BUSY is an AI-powered sales and business performance platform designed for small businesses. BUSY is operated by Ask Busy, LLC (referred to in this Privacy Policy as “BUSY,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the BUSY platform (the “Service”), how we use it, the choices available to you, and the safeguards we apply. By accessing or using BUSY, you acknowledge that your use of the Service is governed by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

Subscription billing via Stripe

Ask Busy, LLC uses Stripe to process BUSY subscription payments. Stripe receives the payment details and billing address you enter in its checkout or customer portal. BUSY stores billing identifiers, subscription status, plan, invoice and payment summaries, and applicable tax information to manage access, reconcile payments and provide support. BUSY does not store your full card number or card security code. Stripe processes information under its Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register for a BUSY account, we collect your name and email address, along with authentication identifiers used to verify your identity and maintain your session. This information allows us to create and manage your account and communicate with you about the Service.

Business Information

During onboarding and through your Business Profile and Settings, you may provide business details such as your business name, industry, country, currency, timezone, tax settings, sales targets, and business preferences. This information is used to configure BUSY for your business and to generate relevant insights.

Customer and CRM Data

As a BUSY user, you may enter information about your own customers, including customer names, company names, contact details (such as email addresses and phone numbers), notes, tags, activity records, and sales history. This information is supplied by you or by members of your business team. You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate legal basis and authority to upload and process information about your customers and contacts.

Sales & Business Data

You may enter and track operational business data within BUSY, including deals, sales opportunities, quotations, products, services, prices, costs, sales records, payment information, outstanding balances, expenses, revenue, gross-profit information, and sales targets. BUSY records payment information for the purpose of tracking amounts paid and outstanding balances. BUSY is not a bank, payment processor, or payment gateway. BUSY does not process, settle, or move funds between financial accounts. Any payment processing is handled by third parties outside of BUSY.

Integration Data

You may voluntarily connect third-party services to BUSY, such as Google Calendar. When you do so, BUSY accesses information from the third-party service only to the extent necessary to provide the connected feature, subject to the permissions you grant during the authorization process. BUSY does not access data beyond the permissions you authorize.

Ask BUSY / AI Data

When you use the Ask BUSY feature, your question is processed by BUSY, and relevant business context may be provided to an AI service or provider where necessary to generate the response. BUSY attempts to limit the context provided to information relevant to the requested functionality. You should avoid unnecessarily entering highly sensitive personal or financial information into Ask BUSY prompts. AI-generated responses are produced by automated systems and may not reflect the most current state of your data.

Technical Information

We may collect certain technical information when you use BUSY, including device and browser information, IP address, application logs, diagnostic information, and usage and activity information (such as analytics events that track feature usage). This information helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.

3. How Information Is Used

We use the information we collect for legitimate product purposes, including:

  • Providing, operating, and maintaining BUSY
  • Authenticating users and maintaining account sessions
  • Creating and managing business profiles and team memberships
  • Providing CRM functionality, including customer and deal management
  • Generating quotations, sales records, and payment tracking
  • Calculating business metrics such as revenue, gross profit, and outstanding balances
  • Providing the BUSY Today dashboard and performance insights
  • Answering questions through the Ask BUSY feature
  • Providing third-party integrations such as Google Calendar
  • Preventing abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
  • Maintaining security and troubleshooting issues
  • Improving and developing BUSY features
  • Communicating service information and providing customer support

4. AI Processing

The Ask BUSY feature uses automated AI systems to generate responses based on your business data and your submitted question. You should be aware that:

  • AI-generated responses are produced by automated systems and may contain errors or omissions.
  • Responses should be reviewed before being relied upon for important business decisions.
  • AI output is not guaranteed to be complete, accurate, or up to date.
  • AI responses do not constitute legal, accounting, tax, investment, or professional financial advice.

Where BUSY performs deterministic calculations (such as computing subtotals, tax totals, or outstanding balances from entered data), those calculations follow defined rules. AI-generated interpretation, advice, or narrative is separate from these deterministic calculations and should be independently verified.

5. How Information Is Shared

We may share information with the following categories of recipients:

  • Infrastructure and service providers: Third parties that host, operate, or support the technical infrastructure of BUSY.
  • AI service providers: Third-party AI services used to generate responses for the Ask BUSY feature.
  • Authentication providers: Third-party providers (such as Google) used for sign-in and authentication.
  • Connected integrations: Third-party services you have voluntarily connected, such as Google Calendar.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.

6. Google Calendar & Third-Party Integrations

BUSY offers optional integrations with third-party services such as Google Calendar. The following applies to these integrations:

  • Connecting a third-party service is entirely optional.
  • Authorization occurs through the third-party provider's own authentication process.
  • BUSY accesses only data within the permissions you grant.
  • You may disconnect an integration at any time, which will stop BUSY from accessing additional data from that service.
  • Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which you should review.

BUSY does not receive or store your third-party account passwords.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information within BUSY. These measures include:

  • Authenticated access: users must sign in to access the Service.
  • Row-level security: business data is associated with a business identifier, and access rules are configured to restrict data to the appropriate business context.
  • Membership verification: backend operations verify that the requesting user is a member of the relevant business before processing business data.
  • Access controls: sensitive backend operations are performed through server-side logic with authorization checks.

No system can guarantee absolute security. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, or altered in a manner inconsistent with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not represent a security certification, and no specific security certifications, standards, or attestations should be inferred unless separately documented.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Service and maintain your account;
  • Fulfill operational requirements, such as generating insights and answering Ask BUSY questions;
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations;
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

The specific retention period for any given data type depends on operational needs and legal requirements. Deletion of data is subject to BUSY's actual technical capabilities at the time of the request. We may not be able to immediately delete all copies of data due to technical constraints, backup retention, or legal obligations.

9. User Choices & Rights

You have certain choices regarding your information:

  • Correcting information: You can update your account information, business profile, and business data within BUSY.
  • Accessing or exporting data: BUSY supports data export for certain records (such as sales and expenses) where the feature is available.

  • Disconnecting integrations: You can disconnect Google Calendar or other integrations at any time from within BUSY.
  • Contacting BUSY: You may contact us regarding privacy questions or requests using the contact information in Section 13.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws. We will respond to verified requests in accordance with applicable law and our operational capabilities.

10. International Processing

BUSY is intended to be a globally accessible SaaS platform. Your information may be processed by service providers and infrastructure that operate in countries different from your location. By using BUSY, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, subject to applicable data protection laws.

11. Children's Privacy

BUSY is a business software product and is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the information in Section 13 so we can take appropriate action.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice within the Service or through other communication channels.
